Interview with Mr. Franky Van Doren, Manger of ECU-LINE ROMANIA SRL.

JCtrans: Hello, Mr. Franky Van Doren. Firstly, will you please make a brief introduction of ECU-LINE ROMANIA SRL?

Mr. Franky: ECU ROMANIA is part of the ECU LINE group for the past 15 years, incorporated in 1995. And it is the first office in CEE for the group. Romania has always been focusing on both ocean transport and road connections with the main European trading partners.

Nowadays the office is headed by Mr Geert Opsomer, a very experienced professional and also with the group since the incorporation.

Focusing on the forwarding industry and aiming for LCL shipments, the biggest success of ECU LINE Romania is the gateway via VARNA for LCL cargo to Bucharest. Extremely fast transit time from Varna to final destination helps to attract business from our demanding customer base.

All road services import and export, connecting the neighboring countries, are also core activities in Romania.

JCtrans: Will you please talk about your core-competitiveness?

Mr. Franky: LCL is the core business of the ECU LINE group. With 189 offices in 101 countries,

JCtrans: Being in logistics industry for several years, would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

Mr. Franky: As Romania is very much depending on trade with the European countries. And trucking industry is very well served on the market. This is also why ECU LINE in Romania has a very good reputation in this respect. The niche of LCL, more particularly from China and India, is a complementary service, which is market leading, and where the forwarding industry in Romania is appreciating on our service level.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the working atmosphere in your company?

Mr. Franky: ECU LINE has a very person oriented policy and in that respect a very stabile staff presence.

Managed by our Managing Director, ECU LINE Romania office in Bucharest counts 6 staffs. And it is very much working to ECU LINE standards in terms of quality and responsiveness to customers.

Atmosphere is good and reflecting a professional attitude.

JCtrans: ECU-LINE ROMANIA SRL has achieved a lot in this year, we are sure it will go on developing steadily. So will you please talk about the company's prospect? Or what strategic planning do you have?

Mr. Franky: In terms of future plans, it is our vast intention to further grow based on the trucking vertical, and at the same time to build the LCL and FCL vertical with the same strength.
