2011-5-18

JCtrans: Hello, Mr. Douglas Santos. Firstly, will you please make a brief introduction of Peniel International Management?

Mr. Douglas Santos: Peniel is a freight forwarder in Brazil, where can handle whole Brazil territory. We are prepared to handle our partner's consignment covering any port in Brazil with responsibility, thru a very dedicated operations team, experienced in such area. Our main services are listed below:

Business Management: "in company" advisory and consulting services where after proper meeting with person in charge, we start a dedicated job within company premises, targeting to identify opportunities and procedures to maximize results. This project includes:

- Reduction of current costs (operational, commercial, administrative, management and with vendors and partners)

- Commercial structure analysis : sales team, clients portfolio, oriented sales, geographic profile, targets;

- Improvement in current management processes and staff distribution;

- Market analysis, targeting review of current price versus market levels, as well as, identification of potential clients.

Management for exports / imports and national logistics:

- Vessels chartering for special cargoes, OOG, projects, explosives (Class 1), military, chemicals;

- Procurement management to represent your company in any required market toward vendor, clients and partners;

Local Representation for overseas companies in Brazil: we act as your local office, handling all required activities for any product or service required.

JCtrans: If one company wants to stand steadily in the fierce competitive situation, it must have strong competitiveness. Then will you please talk about the core-competitiveness of Peniel International Management?

Mr. Douglas Santos: Within the services we provide, I am very sure that the core competitiveness is the ability to provide the one-stop-shop service in Brazil, where our partners will deal with one part only (ourselves) to handle all their needs, which for sure, provide a more competitive final price in the end of the day. It is also possible due to our strong network and local contacts for best buying when necessary.

JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Mr. Douglas Santos: First of all, it is important to have a strong background from the industry. My personal background is 20 years managing shipping lines and freight forwarders in Brazil and USA (for example: CSAV Group, Libra, Crowley, etc.)

It is also important to have a strong and committed team. I am used to say that that the sales department can do their jobs however if operation is not good or customer service we loose the client anyway. So we need to strong as a whole team, assuring to our clients best satisfaction ever.

JCtrans: What do you think of the current logistics market? Are there any advantages or disadvantages for a logistic company?

Mr. Douglas Santos: I still believe that there are advantages for a logistic company, mostly due to the fact (as I mentioned below) that as a logistic company, we will always be able to offer a full package and therefore a best final pricing, then having our client to contact each party for separate quotes.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the prospect of Peniel International Management?Or what is your target in the next 3 years?

Mr. Douglas Santos: Well, we are intended to plan to have a strong network of agents, handling their business / consignments in Brazil. We have good partners and have the pleasure to provide them with good services, but of course we target to have more, especially in China, where we are looking to start activities very soon in the trade between China - Brazil, starting as receiving the consignments from a strong partner and then also provide their rates to our potential FOB clients.

We are also very strong in quoting rates / projects / chartering ex Brazilian ports, having already a blessed list of clients and surely are working to increase always, keeping the same quality to each one of them.
