JCtrans: Being one of the most successful independent relocations, projects and freight management company operating in the CIS, Globalink must have strong competitiveness. Then will you please talk about Globalink's core- competitiveness?
Mr. Siddique Khan: Globalink strength is its "one stop solution" and "global network". One stop solution concept enables our customers to direct all their requirements, be it Multimodal Freight Management, Warehousing, Customs & Distribution, Project Logistics, Removals & Relocation and other value-added services to a single source rather than using multiple ones. Our global network extends across 65 countries, which means that we have people ready to support your business on a worldwide scale.
JCtrans: We know in the domestic transport market, Globalink ranks in the "top three". So will you please talk about what Globalink values most in company¡¯s development?
Mr. Siddique Khan: We strive to maintain a One-Stop-Solution, Flexible and Custom Oriented Approach in our services.
JCtrans: Globalink has a long history since its creation in 1994. Being in this industry for so many years, will you please talk about the current situation of logistics industry?
Mr. Siddique Khan: Our company is a pioneer in the logistics industry in Central Asian Region. We stood at the origins of the industry development in Kazakhstan, when there were no proper market regulations. Now the situation on the market has improved considerably, however some changes in the regulation for transportation facilitation still need to be introduced. Kazakhstan has become a part of the Customs Union and this is a step forward, although there are still debates regarding the benefits of that integration. I believe that business friendly regulation will attract more business to Kazakhstan and it will be able to take better advantage of its position in the Customs Union.
JCtrans: Globalink has achieved a lot in the past years, and we are sure it will go on developing steadily. Will you please talk about your strategic planning in the next 3 years?
Mr. Siddique Khan: First, we want to expand our existing network within our designated markets. We clearly see a need to further develop our network in South East Asia, China and Russia (especially in Siberia and Russian Far East region). Globalink already has a steadily growing presence in the Middle East and continues its development along with setting up new road and rail transport hubs in Europe. As far as Kazakhstan is concerned, Globalink is further investing in the East-West Corridor.
Currently 75% of our customer base consists of Fortune 500 companies which we look to increase further. Overall our top priorities are satisfied customers and growth in company business activity. |
