Interview with Mr. Honory Michael Lyimo, Director of Honomu Consolidators Limited.

2012-4-9

JCtrans: Hello, Mr. Honory Michael Lyimo. Firstly, will you please make a brief introduction of Honomu Consolidators Limited.?

Mr. Honory Michael Lyimo: The Company was founded and incorporated in Tanzania in 1999, with a mission for serving the community specializing in international transportation as experts in Cargo Consolidators for both Import and Export.

The company operates office in Dar es Salaam, and has agents in Zanzibar, Tanga and Mtwara ports.

We also have our sister company situated in Mombasa (Kenya) under the name of M/s. Limutti Holdings Ltd., doing exactly the same things and we would together be providing a complete and personalized service to and from the entire East African Region.

JCtrans: We know Honomu Consolidator's services cover all types of international/local shipments. Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness?

Mr. Honory Michael Lyimo: Shipments from worldwide come to our country and we always arrange de-consolidation to enable client clear the cargo without further delays from our side. With this we should be competitive and always clients recommend us whenever they order their shipments from abroad.

JCtrans: What do you think about the competition in logistics industry?

Mr. Honory Michael Lyimo: Not only logistic industry have competition, but which ever business you will go in you will always find competition as many people would like to do business than being employed, or let say there are no enough jobs to cover everybody.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

Mr. Honory Michael Lyimo: Our strategy is to expand more and more by having own trucks which can carry cargo to the consignee (door delivery) and also if Tanzanian Laws will allow we can have our own CFS Godown where will keep the LCL cargoes pending customs clearance.

JCtrans: Finally, will you please talk about the prospect of Honomu Consolidators Limited.? Or what's your strategic planning for the next 3 or 5 years?

Mr. Honory Michael Lyimo: As what I have mentioned above, our planning for next 3 to 5 years is to have own trucking system, a Godown and find out some export cargoes from our country to worldwide destinations, since we have very few exports at the moment and to fill in a container takes some months on which some client cannot wait much and they are forced to ship by Air although it is expensive.
