MOL opens Jacksonville terminal

2009-1-20

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has opened its own terminal in the US port of Jacksonville, Florida, JCNN reported.

MOL's first ship, serving the ESX-China/North America East Coast route, berthed in the afternoon of January 12 for cargo operations at the new facility.

The Port of Jacksonville was selected for the new facility with its fully developed railway and road networks. Many major logistics and warehouse facilities are located in the surrounding area, and the port can expect further growth as a logistics centre for the US East Coast.
