The Jacksonville Port Authority has named Brian W. Taylor as its new CEO, effective July 29, according to Joe York, chairman of the Florida port authority’s board of directors.
The board of directors had voted unanimously in June to offer the position to Taylor.
Taylor, a long-time Horizon Lines executive, has 30 years of experience in sales and operations management. He has held senior-level positions of increasing responsibility throughout Horizon’s business units during his tenure with the company. Most recently, he was senior vice president of sales and operations for New Breed Logistics in High Point, N.C.
Jaxport’s board of directors conducted a national executive search to fill the vacant CEO position.
