Vos replaces Laungaard at Maersk Line

2008-4-10

Lucas Vos has taken over from Soren Laungaard as Maersk Line's chief process officer with a seat on the management board.

The Danish company said Laungaard left at the end of March but declined to comment on the reason for his departure.

Vos, a Dutch national, started his container-shipping career in 1993 with Royal Nedlloyd. He joined Maersk after its takeover of P&O Nedlloyd at the end of 2005. For the past two years he has headed the France, Iberia and Maghreb (FIM) offices, where he was responsible for Maersk Line, Maersk Logistics, Safmarine and APM Terminals.
