Singapore company makes $736.5 million boxship order with HHI

South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries said Monday it has received an order for nine containerships from a company based in Singapore.

The total value of the contract for the ships, whose container capacities were not disclosed, is Korean Won 679.8 billion ($736.5 million). Under the agreement, HHI will deliver the vessels by the end of 2011.
