Evergreen to offer Southeast Asia-Australia service

Evergreen says it is reinstating its Southeast Asia to Australia service by slot chartering container box space on Maersk Line's AU3 route.

Evergreen's new weekly express service will make port calls at: Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle, Tanjung Pelepas, an Evergreen statement said.

The first southbound sailing to carry Evergreen cargo will be undertaken by the Maersk Decatur, which is scheduled to depart from the Malaysian port of Tanjung Pelapas on November 30.

Evergreen's first northbound sailing on the Southeast Asia-Australia service will be kicked off by the scheduled departure of the Maersk Drammen on December 6 from Sydney.

The AU3 service utilises four 4,100-TEU containerships, and the roundtrip will reportedly take 28 days.
