Evergreen jumps back into South East Asia/Australia service

Taiwanese carrier Evergreen said Monday it has reinstated its service linking South East Asia and Australia through a slot charter agreement with Maersk Line on the AU3 route.

Evergreen will offer a weekly express service with a port rotation of Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle and Tanjung Pelepas.

The AU3 service uses four 4,100-TEU vessels with a 28-day roundtrip schedule. The first southbound sailing will be via the Maersk Decatur from Tanjung Pelepas on Nov. 30 while the first northbound sailing will be with the Maersk Drammen from Sydney on Dec. 6.
