Notification No.21, 2006 of the Tendering Board for Foreign Assistance Projects of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China-China

Tendering Board of Foreign Assistance Projects of Ministry of Commerce held the 21th regular meeting on August 18, 2006. Matters of concern and resolution are notified as follows:

1. Examine and approve the bid-winning enterprise of Providing Emergency Grains to Burma assistance project, which opened bid on August 10, 2006. In all, 6 tender enterprises submitted the tender documents on time. Tendering Board, in accordance with relevant regulation, determined to confer bid to Henan Cereals, Oils & Foodstuffs Imp. & Exp. Group Corp. Ltd..

2. Examine and approve the bid-winning enterprise of Hospital New Main Building of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan assistance project. In all, 12 tender enterprises submitted the tender documents on time. Tendering Board, in accordance with relevant regulation, determined to confer bid to China Railway 14 Bureau Group Co. Ltd.

3. Examine and approve the result of bid discussion and the contract price for North Korea Pyongyang Underground and Spare Parts and Materials of No. 1600 Thermal Power Plant Equipment assistance Project.

4. Examine and approve the bid-winning enterprise of Mongolia Tractor and Irrigation Equipment assistance project, which opened bid on August 16, 2006. In all, 5 tender enterprises submitted the tender documents on time. Tendering Board, in accordance with relevant regulation, determined to confer bid to China National Machinery Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd.

5. Examine and approve the bid-winning enterprise of Technology Modernization of Cuba Weather Service System assistance project, which opened bid on July 25, 2006. In all, 4 tender enterprises submitted the tender documents on time. Tendering Board, in accordance with relevant regulation, determined to confer bid to Henan Yuguang Gold & Lead Co., Ltd.

6. Discuss tender mode of Providing 30 Fire Engines to Cambodia assistance project. Tendering Board adopted limited invitation tendering mode, and 8 enterprises participated in the bid. Specific matters of concern shall be notified later.

7. Discuss tender mode of Seychelles Elementary School and Kindergarten assistance project. Tendering Board adopted limited invitation tendering mode, and 15 enterprises participated in the bid. Specific matters of concern shall be notified later.

8. Discuss tender mode of Turkmenistan Machine Maintenance Factory assistance project. Tendering Board decided to have tender discussion with China Petroleum Technology and Development Corporation.
