Nissan Motor Co., one of Japan's leading auto manufacturers, said Tuesday it plans to sell Nissan brand vehicles in South Korea as early as October 2008.
According to the company's press release, the first group of Nissan brand vehicles to be taken to South Korea are expected to be the Rogue crossover, Murano sport utility vehicle and the Altima sedan. The initial goal of annual sales is 10,000 units by 2015.
The decision was made out of the success of the company's Infiniti brand in South Korea since July 2005, the automaker said.
