Two men died when a time bomb they were planting in an oil tanker, bound for Afghanistan, exploded in the wee hours of Sunday in northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, officials said.
The explosion occurred at a goods transport terminal in Peshawar and police found the bodies of the two at the site of the incident, whose identities were still unknown, the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported, quoting police sources.
Police also recovered three time bombs, one hand grenade, one AK-47 rifle and a pistol from the explosion site, said APP.
There have been bombing attacks on Afghanistan-bound oil tankers recently in northwestern Pakistani region.
