CMA CGM adds Laem Chabang port call to ASEA Asia to Africa loop

French shipping line CMA CGM is expanding the port rotation for its ASEA service by adding a call at Laem Chabang in Thailand, and extending the total rotation time from six weeks to seven, starting from October 2. The service is jointly operated with Emirates Shipping.
The revamped port rotation of the ASEA is: Laem Chabang, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Colombo, Male, Port Victoria, Dar es Salaam, Colombo, Port Kelang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore and Laem Chabang, Jacksonville's BlueWater Reporting.
The service was previously operated by six ships with an average capacity of 2,614 TEU, two of which are provided by Emirates Shipping. Evergreen Line, Cosco, Hanjin, OOCL, NYK, X-Press, Shipping Corp. of India and Delmas all purchase slots on the service, according to Shipping Gazette.
