Emirates Shipping, APL, OOCL to Partner in Asia Service

Emirates Shipping Line will enter into a partnership with APL and OOCL in their CIX service and will be a vessel-sharing partner in the intra-Asia service.

The carrier will be branding the new service as the China India Express Service, restructuring its Hypergalex service.

The port rotation will be: Xingang, Dalian and Qingdao in China; Pusan, South Korea; Hong Kong; Chiwan, China; Singapore; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Nhava Sheva and Pipavav in India; Port Klang, Malaysia; and back to Singapore, Hong Kong and Xingang. The first sailing from Xingang will commence on March 21.

Emirates Shipping will increase rates in its trade from the Far East and Southeast Asia to East Africa, starting April 1. The hike will be $200 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.
