Maersk Line, Limited's board of directors has named J. Russell Bruner as its next president and CEO.
Bruner will succeed John F. Reinhart, who will depart from the U.S.-flag subsidiary of Maersk Line on Jan. 31, 2014, to become the CEO and executive director of the Port of Virginia.
Bruner joined Maersk in 1989 and has been president and CEO of Maersk, Inc., since 2004. He also has been an executive vice president of the parent company,A.P.Mollor-Maersk Grou, since 2006, and has held various leadership positions in Maersk's container businesses within the U.S. and internationally.
Bruner attended Bridgewater College and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Executive Program and Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program. He serves on the Bridgewater College Board of Trustees and the University of Denver Intermodal Transportation Institute Board of Directors.

"As a member of MLL's board since 2010, Russ has a strong understanding of the company, its strategy and customers. He is an intuitive leader and intelligent businessman, possessing the knowledge and qualities to be MLL's next leader."
