Wilhelmsen Maritime Services take home prestigious Lloyds List Award

Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) together with Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) received the award for Maritime Services at Tuesday evening's Lloyds List Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards, held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.
WSS and WSM are both part of Wilhelmsen Maritime Services, a wholly owned Wilh.Wilhelmsen group company. Dag Schjerven, president and CEO of WMS says:
"This Lloyds List Award proves that we are shaping the maritime services industry. To receive this recognition is a huge motivation for all of us to keep improving;continuously adapting to our customers' needs and developing sound solutions for the future".

Nikolai Norman, Regional WSS Sales Director for Africa, Middle East and Black Sea who accepted the award on behalf of WMS made the following comment:
"This is a great compliment and one that I am extremely proud to accept. It clearly demonstrates our commitment to the maritime services market and our enthusiasm towards the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent".

According to judging panel, they were impressed by the range of professional services offered by WSS and the way the company had built a solid reputation in the market. They also emphasised WSM¡¯s position as a well-established ship manager with demonstrated success with technical management across all segments, ranging from LNG/LPG to seismic offshore vessels. Specifically they highlighted WMS innovations such as the Liferaft Rental Exchange Programme (LRE), the Green Ship recycling service and the Green Passport in their award justification.
