Evergreen to move to new APM terminal in Portsmouth, Virginia

2008-6-22

Evergreen Line has signed a terminal service agreement with APM Terminals Virginia, to facilitate the relocation of one of the shipping line's services from Virginia Intermodal Terminals' (VIT) Portsmouth Marine Terminal, to APMT's new Portsmouth facility.

The contract was signed earlier this month and the move will take place in the middle of July, reports the American Shipper.

The move to APM Terminals' new Portsmouth facility affects Evergreen's weekly NUE pendulum service that plies the trade between North Asia, the US east coast and Europe.

However, other Evergreen services will continue to call at VIT terminals in Hampton Roads, the report added.
