Tropical Shipping adds vessel for busy season

2007-11-8

Tropical Shipping has added another vessel to its fleet to increase capacity and assure schedule integrity heading into the busy season for the Caribbean market.

West Palm Beach-based Tropical said the feeder vessel will initially be deployed in its U.S. Virgin Islands inter-island service. The service is based out of the Port of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands and calls multiple destinations in the Leeward Islands, the group of islands in the northern Lesser Antilles islands of the eastern Caribbean.

Tropical said the vessel will also be used to provide support for its Canadian/Caribbean service during the winter months.
