DHL is interested in Sinotrans's Exel share
POSTED: 9:19 a.m. EDT, June 17,2007
Sinotrans is currently revisiting its corporate strategy and plans to shift key assets into its Hong Kong unit. Industry speculation is further fuelled by reports in April that Sinotrans¨ CEO indicated an interest in selling the company¨s stake in the JV.

Half-ownership of the JV is already in DPWN¨s hands, since the company owns Exel.

Meanwhile, a report in the Shanghai Securities News quotes Jerry Hsu, president of DHL Greater China and South Korea, as saying that the express delivery and logistics group is in talks with Sinotrans, but no progress has been made.

Official comment from DHL has not been forthcoming.
