Singapore and Guangxi to strengthen logistics ties
POSTED: 9:31 a.m. EDT, May 10,2007
A delegation from Singapore's logistics industry has visited Nanning, the capital of Guangxi province, to discuss upgrading logistics links between the two, reported Xinhua News Agency.

A member of the Singapore delegation, Huang Guochang, vice president of Jurong International Consultants, said he expected his city would strengthen ties with Guangxi ports and logistics companies in the future.

Mr Huang said transshipping cargoes via Guangxi ports to inland regions by sea-rail intermodal links would greatly reduce time and cost.

Singapore will be the theme country of the coming 4th China-Asean Expo in Guangxi. During the show, a forum will be held on port industry co-operation between China and Asean nations.
