Hanjin Shipping has been honoured with the title of Ocean Carrier of the Year 2006 by Owens Corning for the fifth time since 2001 for providing excellent customer service.

Owens Corning is an Ohio-based provider of glass fibre and building materials for over 40,000 computer, automobile, and communication companies around the world. The company operates labs, factories, joint ventures and sales organisations employing 20,000 in 30 countries.

The company recognises the best global carrier every year since 2001, basing its selection on the stability of container equipment and space supply, on-time delivery, service reliability and partnership, and providing competitive cargo rates for its logistics operations.
