NOL says per-unit revenues fall 7% in 2006

Neptune Orient Lines said its 2006 average revenue from the liner business fell 7% year-on-year to US$2,632/feu, while volume swelled 8% to 2.10m feu.

The parent company of APL said in a statement filed to the Singapore Stock Exchange yesterday it lifted 244,800 feu in the six weeks ended December 29 (Period 12), 2006, 12% more than the same period last year.

However, the average per feu revenue contracted 10% to US$2,543/feu during the period.

Meanwhile, NOL's logistics division earned a full-year revenue of US$1.3bn last year, 2% up from 2005.
