POSTED: 0:50 p.m. EDT, January 27,2007

Hamburg shipowner ER Schiffahrt, a member of the Nordcapital Group, has held an official naming ceremony for its latest newbuild manufactured by South Korean shipbuilders at the Hyundai Mipo shipyard in Ulsan.

This latest containership, a sub-Panamax 2,824-TEU vessel, increases its fleet to 67 vessels with a container capacity of 315,000 TEU. By spring 2009, another 11 containerships with more than 30,000 TEU will be added. Seven of these will also be built at Hyundai in South Korea.

The newbuild, the ER Martinique, will go into service soon for French shipping line, CMA CGM, under the charter name "CMA CGM Anemone".

The vessel will be deployed on the BEX2 service, which links the Asia Pacific region with the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal.
