Airlines in Japan and Korea step up partnership
POSTED: 1:08 p.m. EDT, December 7,2006
Asiana Airlines and All Nippon Airways has decided to expand their code-sharing and joint marketing on all routes between Korea and Japan starting from February 2007.

While the two airlines previously code-share six routes, the new agreement covers 154 weekly flights of the 18 routes. The two carriers said they will strengthen strategic ties in a wide range of operations including passenger, cargo and fuel procurement.

Asiana and ANA are the first and only airline from their respective countries to establish code-sharing partnerships. They started to offer joint cargo operations on all Korea-Japan routes in this April.
