Dongguan's Shatian to develop 10 logistics projects

SHATIAN, a municipality within Dongguan city, has signed contracts with 10 investors to develop 10 logistics projects, Xinhua reports.

The 10 contracts are valued at CNY3.8 billion (US$505.2 million) and the 10 investors include Guangdong Nanyue Logistics Co., Ltd and CNOOC Refining & Petrochemical Dongguan Oil Storage & Transportation Co., Ltd.



Shatian now has more than ten 10,000-tonne berths, ten logistics companies and ten warehousing companies, shaping a logistics network serving manufacturers in the wood, auto, steel, oil and chemical businesses, the report said.



The municipality was recently named by 26 logistics organizations including China Logistics Association as an "Important Port and Logistics Town in China", the report added.
