Air China names Cathay boss as director

Air China has appointed Philip Chen Nan Lok as non-executive director with immediate effect.

Chen has been a director of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited since March 1997 and was appointed chief executive of Cathay in January 2005. He is also a director of John Swire & Sons (HK), Swire Pacific Ltd, and chairman of Hong Kong Dragon Airlines.

Chen joined John Swire & Sons Ltd group in 1977 and in addition to Hong Kong has worked with the group in China and the Asia Pacific region.
