Tianjin airport starts international transshipments to Kenya
POSTED: 8:59 a.m. EDT, April 17,2007

Tianjin Airport customs recently handled the first batch of international transshipments, which were carried to Tianjin by Asiana Airlines and bound for Kenya aboard a Martinair freighter, Xinhua reported.

Tianjin airport customs started one-stop trans-customs clearance service for domestic air transhipments last year.

With the newly launched international transshipping service, Tianjin Airport's domestic and international network has been linked, which is thought to be a vital step forward in achieving the airport's goal of becoming an international hub.
