POSTED: 9:44 a.m. EDT, January 31,2007

AP Moller Singapore has taken delivery of a new 6,200-TEU vessel Maersk Kwangyang from Korean shipbuilder, Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Ltd, a company statement announced.

The 300-metre vessel, with a 40-metre beam and with a maximum speed of 25 knots, is the second in the series of K-Type ships delivered to the shipping company.

The statement said the Maersk Kwangyang is similar to its sister ship Maersk Kowloon.
