Besim AKCAKIR:

Our company is strong with  carrier rate contract and enjoy very competitive rates both in and our of turkey. Also having our own offices in Iraq, we can arrange transit cargoes via Turkey without any trouble and can also handle at destination smoothly. As being an warehouse operator, this gives a great advantage to us for consolidation business which makes us an important player in the market.

JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Besim AKCAKIR:

Well, the most important thing is to follow the market closely, to know what competitors doing and what is going around the world, who is doing what,.. and also should know much about yourself like what is your weak point and strong point so that can focus to market accordingy with strong points and not to waste time with your weak sides. Of course besides this all, your should try your best always to improve your service quality which is quite important. As we are all doing the same business as forwarders, service quality and to meet needs of clients make the difference between eachother.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

Besim AKCAKIR:

Turkey is an important hub between asia and Europe so takes an important role here. This gives us more chances for the business

And comparing with past years,  logistics industry in our country taking further steps regularlay with the support of government

That is why infact most worldwide logistics companies launched in turkey and see the country as hub for their opening door to asia / cis countries and Africa as well

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

Besim AKCAKIR:

Well, our strategy is always to look for new markets,that we can do which others do not do, or who are at initial steps. We can name it of course as nish markets and our overseas department is always in touch with overseas agents to see those possibilities and this is what we  have done for long years back and what we will be doing for future plans.
