JCtrans: Hello, Mr. Maurizio Briglia. Firstly, will you please make a brief introduction of COMBI LINE International S.p.A.?
Mr. Maurizio Briglia: Combi Line International Spa was established in 2003 as a consequence of several previous experiences in the LCL business by its founder. Since the first year the company has developed a number of export and import services for LCL cargo which have brought the company to be known in the Europe market and overseas as one of the more dynamic NOVCC operators in Italy. Combi Line is having own offices in Milano, Genoa, Livorno and Naples with a total of 70 staff between operations, administration and sales. The company also features FCL and AIRFREIGHT services both inbound and outbound.
JCtrans: We know COMBI LINE International S.p.A. offers a wide range of services. Would you please talk about your Service Advantage?
Mr. Maurizio Briglia: Combi Line is an independent LCL operator both inbound and outbound and this allows the company to handle any kind of LCL cargo and move it in its direct consolidated containers departing from Italy and reaching over 60 direct ports overseas. Along with the LCL services Combi Line is one of the few Italian NVOCC's combining LCL with FCL and AIR services. So one customer or one agent can find in Combi Line the answer to the many transport modes he needs.
JCtrans: Nowadays, the competition in logistics industry is fiercer and fiercer. What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?
Mr. Maurizio Briglia: We assume that the future belongs to the technologic companies able to satisfy the needs of the national and international customers quickly and widely and therefore investments in the software, in communications and in the connectivity via Internet are the keys to progress in our industry. Also widening the range of services provided and travelling around the world to meet potential customers and open new markets are other ways to welcome more and more customers within the company. An additional value comes from human resources which is key for successful ventures.
JCtrans: Would you please talk about the current logistics industry in Italy? Are there any advantages or problems?
Mr. Maurizio Briglia: The logistics industry in Italy is rather active and developing rather aggressively as the competition among players increased over the recent years. The widening of the port coverage has implemented dramatically with shipping lines now calling at over 10 ports on the West coast and about the same number on the East coast. New inland dry ports and terminals are helping the industry to reduce transportation costs and transit-times.
JCtrans: Finally, will you please talk about the prospect of COMBI LINE International S.p.A.? Or what's your strategic planning for the next 3 or 5 years?
