Air Cargo India 2012 end on a successful note

Air Cargo India 2012' - the 4th Biennial International Conference and Expo concluded on a successful note at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India.
The event was conceived to highlight India as the land of opportunities for the Air Cargo industry. Naseem Zaidi, Secretary-Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India and H.E. Pule I. Malefane, Consulate General of The Republic of South Africa inaugurated the event.
Themed "Air Cargo in India-Building sustainability and prosperity", the event was represented by 58 exhibitors from various sectors of the Air Cargo industry from 24 nations displaying their world-class products and services, specifically designed for the air transport industry.
The cream of the industry leaders dwelt upon various topics at the conference ranging from the status of the air cargo industry in India and the world over post the economic revival, Integrating India's potential & global needs. Ground Handling at various Indian airports, role of IT in Developing Air Cargo in India, focus on cargo terminals were some of the key issues discussed.
289 delegates from across the globe including Russia, China, USA, Europe, India, Australia, Canada, Singapore, and Africa took part in the deliberations stretched over the three days. About 3000 (2977) trade visitors from around the world attended the exhibition to explore business prospects.
