AAT sees throughput rise 7pc in February

Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) has recorded a throughput tonnage for February of 40,891 tonnes, a growth of seven per cent over the same month last year.

Export cargo in February registered 25,492 tonnes, up three per cent. Import cargo volume for February was 14,922 tonnes, up 14 per cent from last year. Transhipment cargo volume was 476 tonnes, up 35 per cent.

The cumulative tonnage from January to February 2008 was 91,937 tonnes, an increase of 11 per cent against same period last year.

AAT general manager for Planning and Services, Nelson Lee, said, "Even with increased tonnage growth, AAT service standards will not be compromised. We will continue to keep ourselves customer-focused in providing excellent services."
