Almost as fast as a speeding bullet
POSTED: 10:06 a.m. EDT, February 2,2007

The China Railway High-speed bullet train is up and running on a test basis. The picture shows it coming out of Guangzhou Railway Station in Guangzhou.

The new CRH bullet train, which can travel at 250km per hour, was tested for operation on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen route. The CRH bullet train is expected to operate on test runs on the Shanghai-Beijing route during the coming Spring Festival holidays when there is sharp rise in demand for transportation.
