Auto parts maker Omax Autos Ltd said on Tuesday its board approved setting up a unit to make chassis for medium and heavy commercial vehicles.

No further details were immediately available.

Separately, the company said net profit rose 33 per cent to Rs 66.6 million on net sales of Rs 1.8 billion in the quarter to December 2006.
