GENERAL INFORMATION

1.Temporary Information

The Chinese Authorities permit exhibits to be imported into China on temporary import basis on approved trade shows/events. Temporary import is allowed for 3 months from the date of entry and must be re-exported unless duties and taxes are paid in the event of conversion to permanent import. Extension of temporary import is allowed subject to the Chinese Customs'' further approval.

2.Important Information

* Sinotrans as the official forwarding operator of FIATA World Congress 2006 inShanghai, we only handle those cargos which are used for FIATA World Congress only.If any participant joins other conference/show together with FIATA, the participant must separate its exhibits under different Bill of Lading or Airway Bill. The exhibits for FIATA consign to Sinotrans. Non-FIATA exhibits consign to any other agent that the shipper contracted with.
* All exhibits for FIATA World Congress are prohibited to take out of the FIATA show booth. If happened, penalty will be charged to the relevant participant.
* We do NOT handle any hand-carried exhibits or any alcoholic products for this event.
* China Customs Authorities and CIQ have strong restriction on following commodities:
o alcoholic drinks
o food-stuff
o cigarettes
o hand-carried exhibits
o animals, e.g. dogs, cats, or any other pets

Since customs authorities and CIQ have import restriction on the above-mentioned products, Sinotrans suggests that participants do NOT export or carry such product for FIATA. If any participant export or carry above-mentioned products, Sinotrans will not do the temporary import custom clearance for them. The participants need to handle by themselves.

* ATA Carnet is also accepted for temporary import in China.
