Tour A.1: Modern Shanghai Tour (Half Day)
Monday, Sept. 18, 2006: 08:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Tour Fare/Fee Payment: USD22/pax (FOC for all accompanying persons )
This morning you will visit the modern part of this cosmopolitan city. Oriental Pearl TV Tower is located at the center of Lujiazui in Pudong Area. This TV tower is 468 meters high, and is the world''s third tallest TV tower. With a unique design composed of balls and columns, the tower has become Shanghai''s newest landmark. You will take a high-speed lift to mount the observation deck where you may have a panoramic bird''s eyes'' view of the gracious European buildings along the Bund and the breathtaking modern architecture in Pudong District.


Tour A.2: Old Shanghai Tour (Half Day)
Monday, Sept. 18, 2006: 13:30 p.m.-17:30 p.m.
Tour Fare/Fee Payment: USD22/pax (FOC for all accompanying persons)
This afternoon, you will visit the Yuyuan Garden, one of the most elegant gardens in south China. You will also visit the Chinese quarter of Shanghai (City God Temple Bazaar) where cobbled streets are lined with traditional shops selling herbal medicines, handicrafts, Chinese tea and a variety of tantalizing snacks. The highlight of today is perhaps the leisurely stroll along the Bund, where we can admire the curious and eclectic style of Buildings lining the Huangpu River.



Tour A.3: Be Shanghainess for Half a Day (Lunch Included):
Tuesday September 19, 2006: 08:30 a.m.-13:30 p.m.
Tour Fare/Fee Payment: USD25/pax ( FOC for all accompanying persons)
This morning, you will step into the true Shanghainess'' life; our tour starts with a visit to the People''s Square where local people do morning exercises such as playing Taichi, badminton or fan dancing. Then you will be guests to a new workers'' residential area. You will visit local families, kindergartens and the localfood market. At the noon time, you will be invited to prepare lunch together with a local housewife in her own home.


Tour A.4: Shanghai Museums Tours (Half Day)
Tuesday September 19, 2006: 13:30 a.m.-17:30 p.m.
Tour Fare/Fee Payment: USD22/pax (FOC for all accompanying persons)
This afternoon you will explore museums of Shanghai. On the site of the former racecourse stands the superb Shanghai Museum, one of the best historical museums in China. Its exhibits give a fascinating insight into Chinese art and culture, and as well as a live demonstrations of ancient craftsmanship. Then you will visit the Shanghai City Construction and Planning House which is one of the world''s largest museums dedicated to showcasing urban development. The museum condenses the yesterday, today and tomorrow of city planning and construction of Shanghai Metropolis based on the exhibiting theme of City, Human Being, Environment and Development, as well the experiences of other countries for reference. Stress is laid on the ambitious developmental planning for the coming 20 years of Shanghai City.


Tour A.5: Zhujiajiao Water Village Tour (Half Day)
Wednesday September 20, 2006: 08:00 a.m.-13:00 p.m.

Today, you will have an exciting experience from the metropolis to the peaceful water town: Zhujiajiao. This is a fan-shaped old town with hundreds of years of history around the shore of vast Dingshan Lake. Thousands of architectures of Ming and Qing Dynasties stand by the lakes and 36 stone bridges retain the ancient style.Historical spots are everywhere. The antiquity bridge and the seclusion of the alleyways in the town will present you a scene of "boats sailing on the water and people touring in a painting".


Tour A.6: Shanghai Architectures Tour (Half Day)
Wednesday September 20, 2006: 14:00 p.m.-18:00 p.m.
Tour Fare/Fee Payment: USD22/pax (FOC for all accompanying persons)
This afternoon: you will visit Xujiahui Catholic Cathedral, the most historical Cathedral in Shanghai; This Cathedral was originally known as St. Ignatius Cathedral and was built in 1904 by the Jesuits. It is now historical landmark under governmental protection. Continue your exploration of Shanghai architectures at Xintiandi. As a re-creation born out of the sprawls of Shikumen housing, which is the architectural symbol of Shanghai in the 20th century, Shanghai Xintiandi was created by converting residential blocks into a multifunctional dining, retail and entertainment center flowing with restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars of an international standard.

The Shikumen buildings within Shanghai Xintiandi retain the antique walls, tiles and exterior of the Shikumen housing of old Shanghai, while the internal spaces have been designed and decorated to suit the up tempo lifestyle of modern city living. Shanghai Xintiandi is where "yesterday meets tomorrow in Shanghai today."
